Need by Carrie Jones
Zara White suspects a freaky guy is semi-stalking her. She memorizes phobias and chants them when she's nervous. And, okay, she hasn't exactly been herself since her stepfather died. But moving to a shivery Maine town to stay with her grandmother is supposed ti be the perfect fix - so her mom says.
Except, this new plan to getting away to help Zara stay sane? Yeah, not working. Turns out the semi-stalker is not a figment of Zara's imagination. He's still following her, leaving behind an eerie trail of gold dust. There's something not right - not human - in this sleepy Maine town, and all signs are pointing to Zara.
When I first started reading this, it was ok, but a little slow. I really liked the chapter headings, because I've always been interested in different phobias but not quite knowing what they meant. I love nickand how Zara was his first kiss, thats so sweet. While I was reading I felt like I was there with them, the whole time which can be a bit scary when it comes to the pixie parts. I didn't like Meghan or Ian at all in the beginning so after he did what he did I hated him more and was kinda happy he died, that sounds bad but thats how I felt.
I got the chills after I found out who her dad was and what they did the the boys they kidnapped.I thought it was messed up to act like her stepdad to get her to open the door to her bedroom. I was shocked when I found out her grandma (Betty) was a were-tyger. But that's awesome. Her stepdad leaving clues in books made it seem like he was still there with her, but he wasn't.
When they blocked up the house with iron and steel my opinion was that they were going to get out right away and run or something, I got scared a little bit at the thought. I was wrong.
This series is a must read for anyone who hasn't read and like pixies at all. Go buy NEED, CAPTIVATE, and ENTICE now!
Love & Rockets,
Kaylyn
